Backend Senior Engineer – Ticketmaster (Identity and GES) team

At Ticketmaster, we are starting with two new innovative teams that power our B2B platform. The TM1 Identity team focuses on managing customer identities, access, and privacy through secure, scalable solutions. The Global Event Services team builds trusted, reusable services to acquire and unify global event data, ensuring a seamless ticketing experience for fans worldwide. Together, these teams work collaboratively to provide cutting-edge technologies and exceptional user experiences.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Senior Developer at Ticketmaster, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining critical components, which connect multiple products and departments within the organization. You will collaborate with Product Managers and tech leads to design innovative solutions, mentor engineers, and help expand the platform.
Working independently in a DevOps and Agile environment, you’ll be responsible for the full development cycle, from design to production support. You’ll leverage your technical expertise to propose solutions, solve problems, and guide the team through challenges. This role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies and deliver impactful products for millions of fans.

  • Design and enhance features for managing customer identities or developing data processing, streaming applications, and search APIs for global event services.
  • Collaborate with product managers, tech leads, and cross-functional teams to ensure high performance, scalability, and security.
  • Automate testing, deployment, and monitoring for both identity management and event data systems.
  • Provide production support and ensure the reliability and optimization of both systems.
  • Modernize and refactor legacy systems for better performance and scalability.
  • Mentor peers, promote best practices, and contribute to continuous team improvement.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (TECHNICAL SKILLS)

  • Senior-level experience in a DevOps/Agile environment.
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST, Kafka.
  • Strong troubleshooting, automation, and debugging skills.
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of Elasticsearch, OpenSearch and MongoDB, for position in Global Event Services team.
  • Knowledge of Oracle and Okta, for position in TM1 Identity team.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Prometheus, AWS, Kubernetes is a plus
  • Ability to apply software quality practices and ensure high standards in development
