Data Integration & Business Analyst – OrcaBio Team
This is not a role for a pure “coder.” We are looking for someone who is primarily Business Oriented with a solid Technical foundation. You will serve as the primary link between system owners and the engineering team, ensuring that business performance metrics are accurately translated into technical logic.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stakeholder Mapping: Partner with department “system owners” to discover data requirements and translate business processes into clear technical specifications.
- Requirement Bridging: Act as the primary link between business needs and IT execution, maintaining detailed data dictionaries and integration maps.
- KPI Logic: Translate complex business performance metrics into technical logic for automated reporting and dashboards.
- Data Quality Ownership: Serve as the “Detail Detective” for the CRM and clinical systems, identifying duplicates and resolving discrepancies at the source.
- Manual Execution: Perform hands-on data extraction, cleansing, and normalization to build a verified foundation for the future enterprise warehouse.
- Integrity Audits: Execute regular “health checks” on data pipelines to resolve synchronization errors and ensure governed, high-quality data.
- Dashboard Development: Build and maintain the technical backend for commercial dashboards (Tableau/PowerBI), ensuring they pull from verified sources.
- Ad-Hoc Support: Provide technical data support to Sales Ops, Marketing, and Market Access to meet evolving reporting needs without compromising data structure.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience: 3+ years as a Technical Data Analyst or Business Analyst with a strong data focus.
- Data Skills: Proficiency in SQL and Python for data querying and transformation logic.
- Integration & Cloud: Experience with ETL/ELT concepts and working within AWS environments (AWS Lambda is a major plus).
- Communication: Exceptional ability to “chase” requirements and articulate technical needs to both business stakeholders and engineers.
- Independence: Highly self-sufficient with a “set and forget” work ethic – able to drive projects forward with minimal management.
PREFFERED SKILLS
- Process-Driven: You prioritize building repeatable, documented workflows over one-time manual fixes.
- Execution-First: You are motivated by building a data foundation from the ground up and seeing tangible business impact.
- Timezone Flexibility: Ability to maintain a 8-hour overlap with US East Coast (EST).

WHO WE ARE?
Bakson Ltd is a software development company based in Belgrade. We are working with teams around the world and take pride on variety of projects we handle and technology we use.
HOW DO WE WORK?
Our workflow is inspired by Agile and Lean principles. We’re not devoted to Scrum or any other framework, but are trying to work in small batches, with fast feedback and very close interaction with product owners.
The emphasis in our team is on collaboration and mutual support – sharing project workflow with globally distributed teams, contributing code to core global services and applications, and encouraging cultural exchange between development groups. Ticketmaster encourages working from home, and the distributed nature of our teams requires us to have flexibility around working hours. We’re familiar with asynchronous and remote work. A Software Engineer in our company is a core writer of code, but also an inspirer and an exemplar to other developers…
Basically, what we care about is that you are a self-starter, happy to work with others, and prepared to adapt and do your best.
We aim for our hiring process to be as collaborative and realistic as possible, so it’ll be focused on writing and reviewing code – both written by you and by others. We want you to feel like you’d be comfortable working with us, and we also want to feel the same way, so you’ll meet quite a few of the team, and interact with them in as close to a life-like way as possible. This is a two-way street – we’re keen for you to like us as much as the other way around. If you’d like get started, you can apply by pressing the “apply” button on this webpage or by sending a CV or an introductory email to [email protected]
