Open Source DevOps Engineer – Insight Softmax Consulting team
For our partner, Insight Softmax Consulting, we are seeking an experienced an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our distributed open source team.
Since this work is for client’s open source program, all of the contributions are by definition public and open source. You get to contribute to meaningful technologies that many other companies use all while improving your own public profile.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and IT staff to streamline development and deployment workflows.
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery
- Set up and maintain cloud infrastructure.
- Work with a variety of teams to maintain high standards of quality across a diverse ecosystem of OSS projects.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or similar IT roles.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash
- Programming experience in Golang or other similar languages.
- Expertise in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
