Key responsbilities
- Contribute to variety of OSS projects in different programming languages
- Work with a variety of teams to maintain high standards of quality across OSS projects
- Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and IT staff to streamline development and deployment workflows
- Set up and maintain cloud infrastructure required to run specific OSS projects
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance
Required skills & experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in engineering roles
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash
- Strong experience in at least one industry-standard programming language (e.g. Java, Go, Python, C#, etc.)
- Strong experience with at least one CI system (Jenkins, Github Actions, CircleCI, etc…)
- Expertise in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, proactively and confidently in unfamiliar toolsets or environments
- Genuine interest in the domains and topics the team is working on
