Software Engineer – NOMOQ team

About our Partner

We are hiring for the software development team of our client, exciting startup NOMOQ from Switzerland. NOMOQ primarily supplies craft beverage manufacturers with digitally printed aluminum beverage cans.. By joining the team you will become part of a growth story: NOMOQ is a pioneer in the beverage packaging market and will use this opportunity to become the leading European player in this industry.

The Team

The software team is responsible for designing and building the entire web-based platform that B2B users interact with, as well as integrating the platform with other external systems such as the custom can printer. NOMOQ serves a diverse range of clients in the beverage production industry, including beer, soda, and wine producers. The platform has successfully handled orders of various sizes, ranging from small to large. The platform is primarily based on No-Code and Low-Code services.

The plan is to move to an in-house developed platform that will be built from scratch to support ongoing business growth. And the team will work on scaling the current functionalities in the new tech stack, while also adding exciting new features to the existing platform.

What you will do?

  • You will solve problems. Instead of just implementing the features you’ve been asked for by different stakeholders, you will assess the problem from different angles and deliver the solution that is actually needed and users care about
  • You will work with cross-functional teams to identify the solutions which best meets the business and user needs.
  • You will make sure that the solution you offer is feasible and solves the right problem in the fastest way. But you will also have to think about the scalability of the solution.
  • You will create prototypes and test them with users, run experiments and understand their results.

What we expect you to bring to the team?

  • Significant experience in at least one of the major backend programming languages (Java, Golang, NodeJs or Python), or in one the Javascript frontend frameworks (Vue, React, Angular).
  • Hands-on experience with one of major cloud providers (AWS or GCP). It is not expected to be fully in the DevOps role, but you should be able to create cloud resources, perform deployments, and do the troubleshooting.
  • Some experience with no-code/low-code tools is beneficial: you might have built stuff on Airtable, Bubble, make/Integromat, Webflow, Hubspot, etc.
  • Open mind to be technology agnostic when implementing solutions and ability to fully deliver them, from frontend to backend, including the area where you might be not on your stronger side.
  • Ability to explain complicated technical concepts and decisions to non-technical people.
  • And, maybe most important, the engineering mindset: this means that you’re able to quickly understand complex systems and to propose solid solutions.

What we offer

  • Mix of serious projects and a great working atmosphere, well recognized on the market.
  • Dynamic international work environment.
  • Skilled and senior co-workers.
  • Proper financial compensation.
  • Private medical care
  • Personal and professional development – personal education budget, internal Tech talks and soft skills trainings
